Retro Ball |
1601 Avenida Cesar Chavez Southeast Albuquerque, NM 87106 United States +1 505 924 2255 http://www.albuquerquebaseball... |
Designed in true Retro style, this ballpark is home to the Albuquerque Isotopes. Taking design cues from the 1940's and 50's, the park evokes nostalgia of the era. Isotopes Park is one of the best stadiums in minor-league baseball. It does have some flaws here and there, but all-in-all the stadium is on par with other Class AAA facilities. America's historic mother road |
4508 17th CT Northwest New Mexico Route 66 Association Albuquerque, NM 87107 United States +1 505 344 9330 http://www.2006route66festival... |
Route 66 was commissioned in 1926 and was finished just before World War II. Only parts of the original highway still exist, but there is a great trend to restore and maintain sections of this historic road. In Albuquerque, remnants of an age gone by still cling to life on what is now Central Avenue. You will find the Route 66 Diner, the Duran Drugstore, and the newly restored KiMo Theater. World comes together |
1701 4th Street Southwest National Hispanic Cultural Center Albuquerque, NM 87102 United States +1 505 766 9858 (National Hispanic Cultural Center) http://www.globalquerque.com/ |
You will find a lot of international performers along with the local ones performing at this festival, which celebrates world music and culture. Come by to this event that features a Global Village, where you will find pretty handicrafts from all over the world. There are concerts, workshops on craft, and movies presented. Two days seems too short a time for a show like this, though. Review © 2007, Wcities |
