Although De Ponteur is mentioned only as a restaurant in the local phonebook, the roomy front part is also a very pleasant pub before dinnertime. An especially nice feature here is the reading table with an excellent choice of newspapers and magazines; all through the day it attracts many people with some time to spare or who want to rest their legs after a couple of hours shopping on the busy Javastraat or the Dappermarket nearby.
