If hunger strikes you after some night-time fun in Amsterdam, head down to Bojo. This Indonesian restaurant is known for its late open hours, quick service, and best of all, its affordable prices. Bamboo-covered walls and warm tones make this informal eatery comfortable and welcoming. Unwind as you dig into wholesome Indonesian fare like the Nasi Koening (rice cooked in coconut sauce, mixed with baked chicken, stewed meats, shrimp or vegetables). Although there is no alcohol served in here, you can sip on a variety of juices, teas or shakes. The best way to drive out the late night munchies!

Kantjil & De Tijger

Arty Indonesian eatery
Spuistraat 293
Amsterdam 1012 VS
Netherlands

http://www.kantjil.nl/
This rather large Indonesian restaurant, in which all food is authentically prepared, is located in the very heart of Amsterdam. Both the interior and the cuisine are reflections of the rich Indonesian culinary tradition. The original sate platters are excellent, with five different ones available. Main courses include various red meat, chicken, egg, fish or vegetable dishes as well as the traditional nasi or bami dishes. Particularly noteworthy are their rice-tables.

Puri Mas

Authentic Indonesian
1st Floor, Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 37-41
Amsterdam 1017 NG
Netherlands
+31 (0)20 627 7627
http://www.purimas.nl
Puri Mas stands for Golden Temple and the restaurant tries to uphold this idea in terms of service and hospitality. Its central location, near the Leidseplein, makes it popular with tourists. This is a comfortable restaurant, designed in a U-shape around a staircase. Its modern interior is tastefully decorated with original Indonesian handcrafts and paintings. The staff dress in typically Batik costumes, and Indonesian music completes the atmosphere. All this, combined with the friendly service, adds to a congenial ambience. The restaurant is famous for its Rijsttafel—a feast of mild to strongly spiced Indonesian dishes. Rijsttafel means Rice Table—an array of many dishes in small portions that cover the whole table. Although it is a Dutch idea, its origins are clearly Indonesian and it was known at one time as Makan Besar.

Sama Sebo

Great Indonesian dining
Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat 27
Amsterdam 1071 BL
Netherlands

Good Indonesian cuisine outside of Indonesia is hard to find, but at this prime restaurant, you won't walk away disappointed. The chef is famous for his delicious rice dishes, and a master at everything else. Try the traditional Daging Rending (beef in spicy coconut sauce), which is probably the best in town. The refreshing tropical desserts nicely clear the palate. There is a small terrace for open-air dining when the weather is fine. For shopaholics, the restaurant is located on the beautiful P.C. Hoofstraat shopping street.
