Located in a nice area, this theater-café draws people looking for a conversational night out as well as an intimate dinner for two. Tall ceilings create an open airy atmosphere whether you are sitting on the lower level, or the small upper seating area. The rustic French décor and brass iron railings create a sleek, simple style, which works well with the faint yellow walls. Whether you are coming for a few cocktails or a full meal, the bustling atmosphere will draw you in.

And they do! Several museums in the Netherlands have exhibited these pastry-wonders that seem to come straight from the Madhatter's Tea Party. You can visit the beautiful patisserie in trendy neighborhood De Pijp and enjoy one of the numerous tastees. The interior suits the servings: everything is colorful, kitsch, retro and there is lots and lots of pink. The staff has managed to create starters, main dishes - even desserts - using (you guessed it) garlic! Panic not, the staff can also prepare most of the meals without the main ingredient upon request. Guests having dinner at the Garlic Queen can count on a terrific meal, but it is advisable to book a table in advance, as it is certainly popular. Some of the dishes available include Gambas (big shrimps), Corn Chicken and Garlic Ice-Cream! As well as the standard menu, Garlic Queen offers daily specials.

That's where Pasta e Basta comes in. The food is good, no complaints, and the prices aren't too bad. What makes this place different is the opera singing waiters. Yes, you read it right the first time. This place is very popular and you'll have to make reservations, but if after reading this review you are not instantly scared away at the thought of some strange person serenading you whilst you're eating, you're sure to enjoy yourself.
