Trendy fusion food |
Prinsenstraat 10 Amsterdam 1015 DC Netherlands +31 (0)20 428 2455 |
This popular fusion restaurant is a relatively new addition to Amsterdam's eateries, having opened in 1998. Just to prove its commitment to the fusion principle, even the interior is a mishmash of new and old, blended together nicely to create a memorable dining experience. The menu combines Eastern and Western influences to good effect and this restaurant is billed as Demi-veg, which indicates a concentration on fish and vegetarian dishes. Add to this a nice wine list, and the final result is a restaurant well worth visiting. Fusion isn't for everybody, but you'll never know unless you try it. Review © 2007, Wcities |

When coming here, you can choose from two separately operated restaurants. Have a delicious sandwich made by Chef Jan-Willem at the "Brown Bar" or the Game soup at the adjoining restaurant. With a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, this is the perfect place to relax and exit the high-stress tourist world. The atmosphere may even make you reminiscent of past summers spent at your grandmother's house. Review © 2007, Wcities |

If you are in the mood to try something different, step into Genet. This Ethiopian restaurant beckons with its interesting interior—red tablecloths, dark furniture and interesting artifacts hanging on the walls make for a pleasing dining experience. Try the three-course African meal, or choose from the vegetarian selection. Reserve a table in advance, or pack some dishes to enjoy at home or in the nearby Vondelpark. Review © 2007, Wcities |
