Down Home Country Cooking |
1400 E Tudor Rd Anchorage, AK 99507 United States +1 907 561 3805 |
Touting the "Best Omelettes in Town," this restaurant offers much, much more. The mainly blue decor is reflected in the curtains, vinyl booths and carpeting. Breakfast is the busiest time because of the immense selection of hearty-portioned meals and promptly poured coffee once you are seated. Known and loved most for the three page breakfast it also serves lunch (hot and cold subs and sandwiches, and several pasta dishes) and dinner (Lasagna, New York Steak and Halibut). No alcohol is served. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Something for Everyone |

It sits directly in front of the Hampton Inn. In the "apple" theme, the interior is predominantly red. Vinyl booths line the walls and in the bar are tall round tables surrounded by high barstools. From Fajitas to Cheeseburgers to Tequila Lime Chicken, there are many options here, most from the grill. When your choices are made and the last plate cleaned, try a Blondie with Ice Cream or a Chocolate Glacier for dessert. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Outstanding Steakhouse |
417 W 5th Ave Anchorage, AK 99501 United States +1 907 277 6332 http://www.clubparisrestaurant... |
Established in the 60s, the same family still operates this local steakhouse. The signature four-inch thick 14-ounce filet mignon, established the "fine steakhouse" reputation. Other entree options include the 16-ounce New York steak, 16-ounce Prime Rib; as well as appetizers like steamer clams and Cajun mushrooms. Desserts like the macadamia nut pie will likely have to be taken home because portions are so large. The best advice, resign yourself and keep ordering. It is worth every penny and bite. Alaskan Style Cuisine |
4333 Spenard Rd Anchorage, AK 99503 United States +1 907 243 2090 |
A real Alaskan experience, this restaurant has scads of memorabilia on its walls and in displays. President Carter and the first lady once ate here while passing through Anchorage. Down-to-earth, friendly Alaskans - who are happy to share what they know of Alaska - operate this restaurant. Meals are served all day, and you may expect large Alaskan portions. Have your omelet with reindeer sausage, or a grilled halibut sandwich for lunch. Dinner options include barbecued salmon, and wine and beer is available. Review © 2007, Wcities |
