Simple and crisp, this cafe is akin to traveling to Seattle - without leaving Alaska. Small, with 20 wooden tables and filled with plants and interesting artwork, this has become a regular meeting place for several organized groups in Anchorage. It is the only fully organic restaurant in town. Hearty Belgian waffles are served on Saturday mornings and power smoothies are available as well. There is one meat item offered, a range-fed turkey sandwich . For dessert, try their refreshing homemade sorbet. Fresh juices, organic beer and wines are available.

Desserts include selections like baklava, galaktobouriko and creamy spumoni. Domestic and imported beer is served, as well as Greek and American wines.

Authentic Savory Selections

Anchorage, AK 99507
United States

Award-winning Thai Kitchen was the first Thai restaurant in Anchorage, and its appeal is apparent by the restaurant's popularity. Eclectic and almost Spartan, the dining room has small tables and few frills. The huge Thai Platter provides a great way to try a mix of appetizers. Try the outstanding garlic chicken has many toasted bits of garlic topping the dish. Note: While the food and price is sure to please, the service is typically disorganized. "Appetizer" does not necessarily mean pre-entree here.
