Chic and trendy—this is the place to be when you are in need of a drink and good company. Expect to mingle with budding fashion designers and such clientèle, as you sip your way through the eclectic bar list, listening to live music in the background. The futuristic interiors of this basement bar are embellished by a good-looking wait staff that hastens to add a generous garnishing of strawberries or a dollop of vodka to your choice of poison. Thursday evenings are the best, when the place gets buzzing, but be prepared to jostle for space. This is also a great place for a traditional breakfast or a quick Belgian snack, if you can manage to grab a table on the terrace, facing the waterfront.

After an extensive renovation, the restaurant now boasts of one of the most interesting decors in the city. Located on the ground floor of the building, it serves delicious dishes with hints of oriental flavors. The wine list has a fine variety to select from. Choose your table by a large window and enjoy the serene water views as you dine at this unusual venue.

Architect Bob Van Reeth designed this contemporary restaurant-and-brasserie that offers a superb view of the river through large windows. Try the artichoke salad or the Cod with Vegetable Purée, both of which are fantastic. You can come here for a light lunch or a snack, or even for just a coffee or a beer. Or munch on the dishes from à la carte menu while sampling an excellent wine. If you're into modern design, you shouldn't miss coming here, its minimalist furniture in a black-and-white color scheme with maritime design elements is unforgettable.
