This is considered to be one of the best meat restaurants in Antwerp, and it's no coincidence that it's situated in front of the abattoir just outside the city centre. 't Lammeke (The Little Lamb) has also been mentioned in the famous Michelin Guide. It is a pleasant place, and business guests as well as workers from the nearby dockyards are at ease here. The meat is ordered by weight. You choose the cut of meat before they cook it and you can decide in advance if the size and quality is to your liking. Besides many meat dishes, there are some seasonal suggestions and two menus that change every month. For those who are not so fond of meat, there are delicious fish dishes. The varied wine card (120 different types) offers enough choice to complement every dish perfectly.

The interior design is classic with a touch of modern art. In the summer, and if it's not raining, you can enjoy your meal on their garden patio, a rarity in this part of town. The food is made with organic ingredients, and this is one of the reasons why the chef keeps it straight-forward and simple. The dishes are Mediterranean-inspired but basically traditional French-Belgian cooking. The service is professional and well-organized. On the weekdays the restaurant teaches cooking classes, call to reserve a spot.

+32 3 233 5931 During the warm weather in the summer, you can sit outside on the historical Concienceplein and watch the people walk by. This is a little gem in the old part of Antwerp. This South European-styled restaurant with sober interior and mezzanine is probably one of the most relaxed and easy-going eateries in Antwerp. The food is mainly Mediterranean with excellent salads, rich pastas, roast meats and mussels all at very acceptable prices and ideal for the whole family.
