Kei Kei is a so—called oriental canteen situated in the old part of the city near the Cathedral. In the evening you can put your own menu together with small or large portions, or just choose from the daily specials. Marinated strips of beef with orange sauce and rice are definitely worth trying, and if you like wok dishes this is the place to be. There's also a separate menu with wraps, the latest culinary trend. Wooden tables and stools, and the linen on the wall give this restaurant its oriental look and make it a really pleasant place to eat. If it's very busy you just sit with the other guests at one of the long tables.

The restaurant has been around for more than 10 years and it's among the top international establishments in Antwerp. At the beginning of the 20th century, this building was a horse-stable. Many original aspects such as the basalt floor, iron rings and mangers have been carefully incorporated in the Oriental interior. Mystical drawings, antique tapestries and fine woodcarvings dominate. The chinaware and sparkling bronze give the perfect finishing touch. The cooks are from Thailand, and the dishes are hot. Many courses on the menu have a star to indicate they are very spicy; this will be appreciated by those who suffer from a sensitive stomach.
