Agatha's - A Taste of Mystery |
161 Peachtree Center Avenue Atlanta, GA 30303 United States +1 404 584 2211 http://www.agathas.com/ |
Agatha's brand of mystery dinner theater satisfies both the appetite and the funny bone. For about USD50-USD75 per person, depending on the evening's performance and selected entrees, Agatha's provides a wonderful five-course dinner, with wine to savor and a murder mystery to solve. Audience participation is often solicited and the mysteries lean toward hilarity more than drama. Reservations are highly encouraged. Dress is casual. Be sure to confirm times and pricing before stopping in, as both are subject to change. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Whether it's a girls' night out or a romantic date, you can count on Andrews for a great night out. Drink and gossip with the gals, dance till your legs give way or dine under the beautiful stars. It's wine night every wednesday with jazz music playing in the courtyard. Other fun events include the buy-one-get-one-free Early Bird Specials and Tapas and Tini nights. The extensive menu is peppered with items, such as Dill Crab Cakes, Chicken Sweet Potato Fritters and Bibb Steak Salad. And top this all off with Pecan Chocolate Pie or the conventional Tiramisu. Jazz Six Nights A Week |
3380 Peachtree Road Atlanta, GA 30326 United States +1 404 266 1600 http://www.dantesdownthehatch.... |
Since 1970, visitors have packed this exotic dinner club to eat fondue, listen to jazz and have the opportunity to view live alligators. The club is divided into 13 staggered levels, designed to resemble an old sailing vessel. Fondues are served in many varieties, including mixed meat and cheese trays, vegetable platters and, of course, chocolate. The restaurant's 300 wines range from $16 to more than $800. Hanging Out in Midtown |
1007 Juniper Street (at 12th Street) Atlanta, GA 30309 United States +1 404 876 7925 http://www.einsteinsatlanta.com/ |
Some dining establishments are popular for the food, some for entertainment, and some for the good company within. Well, Einstein's has hit all three of these targets since opening in 1992. Perhaps some of the restaurant's appeal comes from the large patio, its proximity to the theater district or the novelty of the Einstein theme. Pictures of Albert Einstein smile in amusement overhead while you eat. Try the quantum leaf, a dinner salad, and follow it with the Fudge Fusion for dessert. The Sunday brunch is legendary, featuring such local delights as eggs benedict with fried green tomatoes. A full bar service is available. Review © 2009, Wcities |

The big Buckhead blarney |
3035 Peachtree Road (Buckhead Avenue) Atlanta, GA 30305 United States +1 404 841 0066 http://www.fadoirishpub.com/ |
This is an upscale Irish pub with plenty of atmosphere. Opened in 1996, much of the furniture, masonry and decor were imported from Ireland. Fado even sells Irish collectibles and sponsors Atlanta's local Gaelic football team. The menu includes Irish Oak Smoked Salmon, Guinness Battered Fish and Chips, and the exotic chicken or salmon boxtys (stuffed potato pancakes). Irish breakfasts of eggs, sausage, rashers and black and white puddings are served all day. Plenty of Guinness and Harp sold on draft, as well as fine Irish whiskeys. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Rock the Menu |
215 Peachtree St Atlanta, GA 30303 United States +1 404 688 7625 http://www.hardrock.com |
Whether Elvis gyrates or Madonna vamps on the screen overhead, the overwhelming musical theme at this popular restaurant is balanced by an interesting and filling mix of menu items. With choices ranging from large-portion nachos to Southern servings of pot roast surrounded by garlic mashed potatoes, you won't leave hungry. The wait staff, disguised in 1950s-style garb, brings a sense of fun to every table. Watch closely as you peruse the gift shop on your way out: you just might see an actual celebrity. Atlanta's Oldest Pub |
822 North Highland Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30306 United States +1 404 874 7147 http://www.limerickjunction.com |
If an Irish pub's your thing, pull up a stool at this popular rendition in the heart of the Virginia Highlands. Take your pick of English and Irish stouts, ales and lagers, or peruse the lengthy list of bottled fare. The selection of aged Scotches and uncommon whiskies is particularly impressive. The small stage, back-dropped by busy Highland Avenue, features live acoustic acts nightly, often accompanied by the high-spirited, if musically-challenged, patrons. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Food for the mind and body |
499 Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, GA 30308 United States +1 404 874 5299 http://www.shakespearetavern.com/ |
This Midtown dinner theater provides good food and great Shakespearean entertainment. The performing company here was the first American company to perform at the Globe Theater in London. A traditional English pub meal is offered during the hour before the show, except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when only sandwiches and salads are provided. A full bar features Harp, Bass and Guinness on tap, as well as a few wines. Seating is done on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early. Call for performance schedule. Once there was a Tavern... |
2196 Cheshire Bridge Road North East Atlanta, GA 30324 United States +1 404 636 2284 http://www.tavernaplakaatlanta... |
With Mediterranean and Middle Eastern music in the background, this Greek restaurant makes you shake your belly. Like all parties this one also starts after sunset; by 7p the belly dancers come out; by 10p the party really picks up with the place converting into a nightclub. The drink and wine list is equally exhausting; it's long enough to entice Dionysus back to earth. So if you're looking for a quiet dinner come earlier, but if the idea is to rock, then this restaurant will welcome you with its open Greek heart. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Tin Roof Cantina is one of Midtown's rowdier and more laid-back joints, offering drink specials and live music most weekend nights. Patrons flock during the lunch hour for affordable Mexican fare, highlighted by an award-winning quesodillo dip, but after dark, the party starts. The full bar serves tropical drinks and a full regimen of draft beer. Review © 2009, Wcities |
