Taverna Plaka

Once there was a Tavern...
2196 Cheshire Bridge Road North East
Atlanta, GA 30324
United States
+1 404 636 2284
http://www.tavernaplakaatlanta...
With Mediterranean and Middle Eastern music in the background, this Greek restaurant makes you shake your belly. Like all parties this one also starts after sunset; by 7p the belly dancers come out; by 10p the party really picks up with the place converting into a nightclub. The drink and wine list is equally exhausting; it's long enough to entice Dionysus back to earth. So if you're looking for a quiet dinner come earlier, but if the idea is to rock, then this restaurant will welcome you with its open Greek heart.

It's always a pleasure to find a club or restaurant with its own personality and unique style, and that's exactly what you'll find here. Vinny's sizzles with energy and beautiful people who congregate for both the atmosphere and food. This north side hideaway is set in a tin-roofed woodsy cabin, and serves up consistently outstanding, artistically-prepared continental dishes for lunch and dinner. Save room for dessert too, and enjoy a Vinny's specialty. Full bar service is available in the dining room, as well as in the very popular lounge.

Watershed

Great food and shopping
406 West Ponce De Leon Avenue
Atlanta, GA 30030
United States
+1 404 378 4900
http://www.watershedrestaurant...
Frequently visited by co-owner Emily Saliers of the famous folk due Indigo Girls, Watershed is quickly gaining a reputation for its fresh and funky menu. Located in a former service station, the space has been carved into an open, roomy dining area and adjacent gourmet shop. The menu changes daily, but always holds a few surprises and favorites. The sandwiches are always great and the gnocchi seems to melt on the tongue. Save room for dessert, because chef Scott Peacock prepares some of the best cakes in the city.
