The hip and happening pizza joint |
2359, Windy Hill Road Southeast Atlanta, GA 30067 United States +1 770 436 4446 http://www.bluemoonpizzaatl.com |
This eatery serves some of the most innovative and fresh pizzas in town. Blue Moon Pizza oozes vibrancy and makes a blatant claim of wanting to remain an illogical pizza joint. Go for the hand-tossed variety or the thin crust ones, they are all good, complete with large portions of fresh and generous toppings. The Greek pizza is quite a crowd-puller here and so are the house made desserts. The blue walls and serene blue lights infuse an enchanting glow. All of this with an open patio, live music, an upbeat bar(with a good stock of martinis) and televised sports. Pizza joints just got better! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Wings Wings Wings |
2937 Cobb Parkway Atlanta, GA 30339 United States +1 770 850 9464 |
As much a saloon as a restaurant, Buffalo's puts its focus on fun and entertainment. The place can get loud during televised sporting events and during happy hour, which always draws a crowd. Hot wings rule the roost, as indicated by the name. Try them hot, hotter, or crazy-hot, or in one of the dozens of specialty flavors and styles. A nice selection of Southwestern and various American fare is also available, including fajitas, cheese steaks, salads, and numerous chicken dishes. Full bar service, of course. Wok on the Wild Side |
2555 Delk Road, Suite A-11, Delk Village Shopping Center Atlanta, GA 30067 United States +1 770 984 0599 |
With one of the broadest menus of authentic Chinese in the metro area, this little eatery has a well-earned reputation for super-fast delivery. It is just a shade more expensive than your average Chinese take-out, but the first bite will let you know it is worth it. The decor totals not much more than a counter and a kitchen, so call for delivery or pick-up. Menu items can be ordered spicy or extra spicy. Groups of three or more can select from the family dinner ensembles and save some money. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Good food for good folks |
2590 Spring Road Atlanta, GA 30080 United States +1 770 319 7166 http://www.folkskitchen.com |
This is home-style in a hurry, Southern style. The big bright dining room can accommodate groups of any size, and the friendly wait staff serves your favorite customary dishes with the trademark Southern hospitality that made Dixie famous. For breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you'll find all the classics you'd expect of a traditional Southern kitchen. The fried chicken, without question, is among the best to be found anywhere. Most entrees are priced under $10, which along with the friendly atmosphere, makes this a great choice for family outings. No liquor. See website for full menu and other locations. A monument to moo goo |
1275 Powers Ferry Rd, Suite 180 Atlanta, GA 30068 United States +1 770 953 6392 http://www.greatwallmarietta.com |
This popular spot is central to the businesses of Marietta, but it is as well known for its family-friendly environment as for its hasty business luncheons. Simple and straightforward, it's the food much more than the decor that sets this place apart from a hundred other Chinese establishments. Faced with a menu as expansive and imposing as the Great Wall itself, you might just have a hard time choosing. Traditional favorites such as the chicken with cashews, moo shu pork and moo goo gai pan are also available. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Guaranteed a Good-Time |
3256 Cobb Parkway (Riverview Shopping Center) Atlanta, GA 30339 United States +1 770 303 9970 |
Designed for fun as much as for food, this Cobb County spot is a good, often-rowdy, place to watch sports and meet with friends. With a spacious dining area it can easily accommodate large groups. Cajun and Creole cuisine is served up hot and spicy, and as expected from the name, the gumbo is a favorite. A bucket of craw fish makes a great dinner and is also a fun appetizer for the whole table. Full bar service is available, and the catering service can provide your next party with a unique, affordable twist. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Far East Feast |
2647 Cobb Parkway (at Windy Ridge Road) Atlanta, GA 30339 United States +1 770 956 1151 |
This local favorite dispels the old myth that Chinese food leaves you hungry. The menu covers the entire range of traditional dishes, but for the best value, pick up a plate at the extensive dinner buffet. If the enormous buffet doesn't suit you, mix up your own blend of ingredients for the on-call Mongolian grill chef. The dining room features a few Oriental wall hangings and an efficient seating arrangement that comfortably accommodates larger groups. Select wines and domestic beers are available, along with some more exotic Asian brews. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Pizza is not traditional Dixie fare, but these guys know what classic New York pizza is all about. In keeping with tradition, a very simple decor graces this almost fast-food pizza shop, where as many customers pick up as dine in, maybe more. Calzones, salads, pastas, and hot and cold subs are all on the menu. Oh, and pizza, with 23 available toppings. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Big Cajun, big fun |
2830 Windy Hill Road Atlanta, GA 30067 United States +1 770 984 8899 http://www.pappadeaux.com |
Frantic and fun, this sprawling Cobb County restaurant brings the best of bayou excitement and food to Atlanta. Families and business groups alike flock to the big, shanty-themed dining room, and the noise level is usually through the roof, even next to the serene bubbling waterfall. Low country regional specials headline the menu, including jambalaya and a very spicy cajun crawfish platter. A lively bar and expansive patio make the place very popular with the after-work crowd, as well. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Mexican Masterpieces |
2788 Windy Hill Road (off I-75) Atlanta, GA 30067 United States +1 770 541 6100 http://www.pappasitos.com |
A lively atmosphere pervades this enormous Marietta hotspot, from the margarita drinkers on the patio to the festive diners being serenaded by a four-piece Mariachi band inside. The house specialty is the steak and chicken fajita plate; you can either order for one, or else get it by the pound for sharing. Dozens of combination platters offer most traditional Mexican fare in invariably enormous portions. Try the fried ice cream to top off your meal, but be warned: it, too, is big enough to share. The Border Comes North |
2950 New Paces Ferry Road Atlanta, GA 30339 United States +1 770 801 0020 http://www.lapaz.com/ |
The pervasive dark wood from the floor to the rafters makes this a warm and welcoming place. A cross between an old cantina and a happy hunting lodge, Mexican artifacts abound on the walls. The well-stocked bar near the entrance is a good place to meet before hitting the tacos. Mexican appetizers, sandwiches and drinks headline the menu. Pick the Dos Amigos option, which offers your choice of two La Paz favorites, such as the barbecued quesadilla. Most entrees can be ordered halved for lighter appetites. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Call for reservations early at this romantic spot on the banks of the Chattahoochee, as weekends can book as far as a month in advance. The low, sprawling building hugs the shoreline of Georgia's longest river, providing exquisite views from much of the dining room. Famous for fresh seafood and hickory-grilled steaks and chops, Ray's is also a local cocktail hour and Sunday brunch institution. The River Room is one of Atlanta's finest restaurants, serving American cuisine in an elegant European setting. This is the perfect place for either an intimate family gathering or a small office party. Try the grilled jumbo shrimp with ginger soy sauce-braised bok choy, or keep it Southern and go for the barbecued Georgia chicken with creamy jack grits. Satisfy a Pizza Craving |
950 Cobb Parkway (Suite 230) Atlanta, GA 30339 United States +1 770 499 7600 |
There are times when nothing will do but pizza for lunch or dinner. But the craving's often more specific, and if New York style is what you're after, Salerno is the place. Eat in the dining room, sit on the patio or make a to-go order. The dining room is not exactly stylish, but the setting is active and comfortable enough for a pizza crowd. Salerno pies are big, thin and made with the freshest ingredients. A pizza for three or four should run about $10. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Funny name, good food |
3000 Windy Hill Road Suite A-10 (at Powers Ferry Road) Atlanta, GA 30067 United States +1 770 953 8400 http://www.schlotzskys.com |
Throughout Atlanta, the little deli with the funny name continues to please with great sandwiches, salads and pizzas. All sandwiches arrive served on Schlotzsky's signature muffuletta bread - enormous round buns that somewhat resemble a large, soft English muffin. The eight-inch pizzas are great for one and come prepared on a unique sourdough crust, while larger items such as pesto chicken are also popular. Your basic deli layout is scaled up a bit for a greater degree of dining comfort, but most still take their sandwiches to go. See website for menu and other locations. Review © 2007, Wcities |

650 Dallas Highway Atlanta, GA 30064 United States +1 770 795 1144 http://www.taco-mac.com/ |
One of the special things about dining in Atlanta is the mild climate. Loads of restaurants take advantage of this benefit, offering outdoor dining for most of the year, and Taco Mac is no exception. The interior is festooned with TVs for catching up with your favorite sports teams. Meal time here offers a good mix of people, and later, the bar crowd tends to gravitate towards 20s and 30s. Prices are reasonable for traditional Mexican American dishes, and generally run between $6-9 for a filling, good meal. Smoking allowed. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Small Suburban Sushi Spot |
2086-B Cobb Parkway Atlanta, GA 30080 United States +1 770 933 8808 http://www.umezono.us |
This sushi spot is gaining in popularity, just about as fast as sushi is becoming an American standard. Umezono is an unassuming, intimate Japanese restaurant with seating for a mere 40 patrons. The best spot in the house is at the sushi bar, where guests watch the chef roll out pretty pickings. Beer and wine is available, and there is smoking in designated areas. If you want to take lunch or dinner home, grab a menu and go. Review © 2007, Wcities |
