Stuck neatly between Cumberland Mall and the trendy Vinings neighborhood, this collection of 40 one-of-a-kind shops is something of a cross between the two. While not exactly in-town shopping, the Galleria is still by no means a full-blown mall, and you won't encounter the crowds so common at Atlanta's larger shopping centers. Set in a European-style piazza layout, the specialty shops are joined by a variety of eateries and a multiplex AMC theater.

"Earthy" is a good word for this sensible, bare bones shop amid the storefronts along Flat Shoals. A squat, aquamarine and brown building encloses a single dark room laden with vintage clothes, jewelry, candles and retro furnishings. If you can find your way through the cluttered arrangement of haphazard items in the dim light, you're liable to stumble onto a good deal or two, but make no mistake, this isn't high end shopping, even by vintage or East Atlanta standards. A nice selection of Nag Champa incense is for sale behind the counter.

With three glass-enclosed levels offering more than 70 specialty shops, restaurants, entertainment options and gathering spots, this downtown shopping center draws a steady stream of visitors from all over town. The main business comes from tourists, however, who are drawn to the downtown area by the many hotels and business functions. Skywalks connect the center to several well-placed parking structures as well as to the Hilton, the Hyatt Regency and the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. See website for complete list of restaurants, shops, and services.
