This famous store is a fine example of what a national department store can be when it keeps a happy balance between fashion and price. Similar to Macy's and Rich's, the store stocks items in every major department, including a well-loved bedroom furniture and linen department and exhaustive kitchenware and accessory departments. Fashions for men, women and kids are also available, along with an exemplary makeup counter and convenient bridal registry. This popular store is prominently located at North Point Mall.

Stuck neatly between Cumberland Mall and the trendy Vinings neighborhood, this collection of 40 one-of-a-kind shops is something of a cross between the two. While not exactly in-town shopping, the Galleria is still by no means a full-blown mall, and you won't encounter the crowds so common at Atlanta's larger shopping centers. Set in a European-style piazza layout, the specialty shops are joined by a variety of eateries and a multiplex AMC theater.

Home wares, fashions, shoes, appliances and just about anything you might need can be easily found, along with ample parking and a first-rate food court.

This stretch of Peachtree Road could well be considered the Rodeo Drive of the South, and nowhere is that more evident than at this upscale mall. Several hundred glitzy boutiques and specialty shops are spread throughout two levels, along with national anchors Neiman Marcus, Macy's and Rich's. Arguably Atlanta's best French and sushi restaurants are located within the mall, as well as a cinema complex and atrium-covered food court. A complementary shuttle runs from Lenox Square across the street to Phipps Plaza, the second gem in Atlanta's shopping crown.

Although not as popular as big sisters Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, this Atlanta shopping Mecca hardly plays second fiddle in retail selection. Choose from such diverse and popular shops as Payless Shoe Source, Radio Shack, Foot Locker, One Price Clothing, and Ashley Stewart. American Deli and Murphy's headline a group of fine dining options to nourish hungry shoppers, and such service industry outlets as Citizens Trust and A1 Art and Printing add the convenience of one-stop shopping.
