Here you can make believe you are in Bodrum, Turkey. Brick walls, Turkish carpets, bare wooden tables, flickering candles and comfy cushions make the interior warm and inviting. They even have traditional belly dancing on Friday and Saturday nights. The freshness and quality of the meals are excellent. Try the Mezze Platter of hummus, tabbouleh, pita bread, beetroot salad, tuna salad and yoghurt dip, or the staple but succulent Doner Kebab. The wine and beverage list is extensive. A good range of cigars is kept behind the bar.

Entry is by prior booking only. The entertainers chat at the tables, and later everyone is welcome on the dance floor. Caluzzi is popular with groups from all walks of life; but there is no point coming here if you are looking for a quiet night! The set dinner menu is NZD40 and includes dishes such as Scotch fillet steak, vegetarian pasta and Thai chicken curry. Caluzzi is fully licensed.
