Have you always wanted to enjoy a cold beer at the movies? You can here. In fact, you will find a nice selection of both domestic and imported beers, as well as wines and champagnes. The libations help you wash down the tasty pizzas, chicken wings or cheese- and salsa-smothered nachos as you take in a flick. Children at least 6 years of age can accompany their parents; patrons must ordinarily be at least 18 to attend on their own. The theater features mostly independent films. See website for showtimes, ticketing info, menus, special event calendar, merchandise and more. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Hot Spot On Town Lake |
920 West Riverside Drive Austin, TX 78712 United States |
There was a time when music from local musicians was free, and great Southern food was BBQ ed in the park. But those days are gone; the park is now used for concerts and firework celebrations on the Fourth of July. Located near the picturesque Town Lake and across from the old Palmer Auditorium, the venue is usually busy during summer. The name of Auditorium Shores is derived from its location along the shore of Town Lake. You will also find the Town Lake Hike, the Bike Trail, a gazebo and the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue. Midnight movie madness! |
2700 W Anderson Lane Alamo Drafthouse Village Austin, TX 78757 United States +1 512 476 1320 http://www.rockyhorror.com/ |
Austin has a long-running history with this particular movie. As the second city to release the show in 1976, it has had a continuous run of over 25 years. At the Alamo Drathouse Cinema, every Saturday night brings a costumed cast to perform live with the film. This cult classic only gets better when the audience participation segments arise. Rice, toast, toilet paper and other sundries are sold as props for the patrons to throw at appropriate moments. If you forget to bring your bag of tricks, these props can be purchased in the lobby for USD2. Casual attire is fine, but a wild fashion statement is certainly encouraged. Admission is USD5.
