Austin's Top of the Marc was a well-known and loved club, above the ever-popular Katz's Deli, that served the harder drinks. Then suddenly, it changed its look and name practically overnight. There's a great stage for swing, jazz and rockabilly bands of all sizes to play on, with a dance floor perfect for large groups. One half of the bar is a patio to sit out and enjoy a warm Austin night. The inside of the bar is dark, with black walls and a grey, stone floor. The dress code seems to be a step above casual, but it's Austin, so really, anything goes. Domestic and imported beer is available. That is where you enter this dark dance club, often crowded with young, energetic college kids.
