For truly exotic food that you won't find at every street corner in Texas, try the subtle cuisine of Persia. In true Middle Eastern style, the reception is warm and welcoming and the menu consists of food evocative of the Arabian Nights - sensuous and bold. The menu highlights are the Kashk-o-Bademjan; a rich, smoky, baked-eggplant starter topped with dry yogurt, mint, walnuts and garlic, and Chelo Kabob-e-Koobideh (ground beef kabob) with char-grilled tomatoes with herbs and onions. The dessert menu has delightful items such as Persian ice cream with rosewater, pistachios and saffron.

Choose from a variety of dishes including lamb, chicken and fish, plus several vegetarian items. The salmon wrapped in grape leaves is heavenly and the vegetables are always grilled to perfection. The 'mini-combo' combines fresh hummus and tabbouleh with hot rounds of pita bread. Try the powerful pomegranate juice or a slice of Baklava after dinner. Diners may bring their own alcoholic drinks into the restaurant for a USD1 corking fee per person.

Try the Tea-Smoked Duck, which is finished in a clay oven, or, for something more traditional, the Tandoori Chicken. The buzz about Mars would not be complete, however, without a mention of the Rice Paper Fish which is the catch of the day cooked in rice paper with whatever combination of herbs, spices and vegetables that strikes the mood of the chef. The results are typically fantastic. If you feel adventurous, try the spicy Thai-style noodles.
