Toys with educational value |
3663 Bee Caves Rd, Ste 2A Austin, TX 78746 United States +1 512 327 0273 |
This is more than just a store; it is an adventure; especially for the little ones. The store sells a wide selection of toys, games and products with educational value. In other words, this is the place to get toys that kids will love and learn from. Also, most every weekday morning at 10:30am there is an activity session for the pre-school age group. Story time and finger-painting are among the activities. It also has activities for older children. Call the store for a calendar of events. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Everything under one roof |
2525 W Anderson Ln Austin, TX 78757 United States +1 512 451 9311 |
Consider this north Austin mall as an alternative to the colder, more impersonal mega-malls that have become standard in recent years. This shopping center is a bit cozier, with some unusual finds inside. Despite its smaller size, though, shoppers will still be able to browse department stores like Oshman's and Bealls, or catch a movie at the resident theater. In addition, the mall offers the only ice skating rink in town, and is home to specialty shops such as Gamefellas, Lammes Candies, and Guitar Center, as well as the Museum of Fine Arts. Free-spirited toy shop |
2438 W. Anderson Lane Austin, TX 78757 United States +1 512 445 4489 / +1 800 247 8697 http://www.terratoys.com |
Here you will find the traditional educational toys, Stieff teddy bears, tin soldiers, art supplies and a wonderful selection of dolls. Then there are mood rings, kaleidoscopes and windup panda drummers. The store is packed full of unique, hard to find gifts and toys. A great place for souvenirs or stocking stuffers, this wide-ranging toy shop will entertain the kids —;and their parents. A notable collection of children's books rounds out the selection. For kids of all ages |
2900 Guadalupe Austin, TX 78705 United States +1 512 320 0090 http://www.toyjoy.com/ |
A toy store open at midnight? This is not your typical predigested corporate toy outlet with Star Wars figures and Monopoly. Rather, Toy Joy is a wonderland for unconventional "children" of all ages. Though the inventory includes some popular kid's items like Beanie Babies and Pokemon collectibles, they specialize in the unusual. Similarly, most customers have long outgrown adolescence but not the trappings. This boutique of the bizarre is filled to capacity with selections like sumo wrestler alarm clocks, cube-shaped bubble wands, over sized lava lamps and creative sound makers. A great place to shop for a gift (for yourself?) or to pass an afternoon. Review © 2007, Wcities |
