Breakfast is the name of the game at this small but lively Fells Point eatery. They've got all the standards: French toast, pancakes and a wide variety of eggs, but the specialties are what really shine. Take the Crab Benedict, for instance, or the delicious Crab Crepe. During the week, the plain but tastefully decorated room is open during the typical breakfast and brunch hours. But from Friday through Sunday it's open all night long, and jammed with gadabouts topping off a late night with a hearty breakfast.

http://captainjameslanding.com/ A terrific example of architectural whimsy, this Fells Point restaurant looks just like an old ship steaming silently up Boston Street bound for the neighborhood of Canton. Inside, however, the spacious and often raucous, dining area and the half-moon bar reveal it for what it is, an old-school restaurant where very good food is served at very reasonable prices. As one might expect, the seafood specialties, such as a marvelous Flounder Fillet stuffed with crabmeat are what stand out here.

+1 410 727 5430 This family-friendly restaurant was recently expanded to allow for additional seating. Exposed brick walls and hand-painted murals add a charming touch to the small dining room. Maria D's has been a neighborhood favorite for years. It offers a wide selection of subs - from the classic Italian to chicken parmesean and the restaurant's much beloved steak sandwiches. The restaurant also prepares delicious calzones and makes the best beer-battered onion rings in Baltimore.

The décor is certainly part of the café's charm- bright primary colors abound, the thrift store furniture is mismatched; mannequins, dolls and other toys decorate the window sills, walls, and even the ceiling. But it's the food that keeps the locals coming back. It's a terrific blend of traditional home cooking and lighter vegetarian fare. The French toast (served all day) is one of the city's treasures.
