Set on a cool tree-lined street in Northwest Baltimore's Mount Washington neighborhood, this wonderful Middle Eastern café offers - dare we say it? - an oasis of calm amid the bustle of daily urban life. The spicy fare, which includes an amazing Mango Curry Chicken Salad, is perfect for lunch or dinner. And with shiny metal stars hanging from the ceiling and colorful pillows scattered about, it's hard to imagine a more hospitable place for a relaxing meal.

The pizza, topped with crab, shrimp and scallops, is baked to perfection in the wood-burning oven that dominates the restaurant. In adition to pizza, the cafe also offers a range of Middle Eastern food. Try the Chickpea Falafel seasoned with fennel, sesame and coriander or the Baba Ghanoush, a chunky eggplant spread with fresh herbs. All dinners are served with a small, fresh salad of crisp romaine lettuce and vegetables.
