This downtown restaurant has been doing a brisk business since it opened in 1993. One taste of the artfully presented food and you'll understand why. Try the Pad Thai, a delicious blend of noodles, shrimp and peanut sauce. Or, if you're a bit daring, order something served in a spicy curry sauce. If you're in town during the warmer months, be sure to sample the Sweet Rice and Mango, which combines rice with tart-sweet fruit.

All dishes are prepared to order and cooked without MSG. The restaurant does a brisk takeout business, so call in advance if you want to spare yourself a wait.

Inside the restored row house restaurant, guests are seated in a pleasant atmosphere that includes an open kitchen. Favorite appetizers include the famous Spring Roll packed with crab meat glazed with a spicy orange syrup. Garlic Shrimp, Vegetable Dumplings or Fried Calamari are popular American entrees, and the Pan-seared Rockfish with an Avocado Curry Sauce, Wok-charred Wild Boar, Drunken Noodles and Orange Chicken are well-liked Thai cusines. Ten-O-Six serves affordable meals, and attracts many families, seniors and young adults. Parking is limited so arrive early.

+1 410 752 5857 It's a shame this place is so small. Literally tucked away in a corner of Mount Vernon, it deserves to be much bigger. Not that the management doesn't do the most with the available space. Its four-table dining area is decorated very tastefully, and Thai prints adorn the walls. But the food, delicious Thai staples like Pad Thai, Lemon Grass soup, and a fantastic Chicken Marmasan, really deserve a more luxurious setting. As it is, it makes for a great carryout lunch or dinner option.
