Style takes precedence at this very classy restaurant, so walk in dressed for a semi-formal dining experience. Let the staff guide you to a table with a beautiful view of the golf course and the pond, and settle in with your choice of wine from the list. Award-winning chefs are busy in the kitchen, preparing some delectable, delightful meals. Order the Tuna Carpaccio or Grilled Tenderloin Salad with Spinach if you are here for lunch. Dinner might be more predictable, with Maryland Crab Cakes, Roasted Rack of Lamb and Pan-seared Salmon among the favorites. The meals come in portions to satisfy the greatest of appetites, and the cuisine matches the standards set by the hotel. This is fine dining indeed! Review © 2007, Wcities |

50 years of great dining |
7153 Harford Road Baltimore, MD 21234 United States +1 410 444 5545 / +1 800 272 2225 http://www.crabcake.com/ |
This cozy Northeast Baltimore restaurant has occupied the same spot for almost 50 years. The downstairs is an Irish pub, well-stocked with Guinness and Harp. Upstairs, patrons will find a modest dining room specializing in Italian dishes. (Try the Seafood Spaghetti.) So what keeps an Italian/Irish establishment running for half a century in Baltimore? The crab cakes, naturally. The perfectly seasoned, lump-filled patty served here are truly a cut above. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Casual waterside dining |
1629 Thames Street Fells Point Baltimore, MD 21231 United States +1 410 522 6600 |
This lovely little harborside restaurant, in the heart of Fells Point, is a tranquil place to enjoy a good meal. It's a colorful restaurant, with green tabletops and blue chairs, and lots of windows that offer a spectacular view of the harbor. The food is simple but well prepared, and the seafood entrees are particularly good. The Crab Dip appetizer (with spinach leaves and artichokes) and the Chicken Chesapeake (boneless breasts in crab sauce) are both first-rate. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A terrific example of architectural whimsy, this Fells Point restaurant looks just like an old ship steaming silently up Boston Street bound for the neighborhood of Canton. Inside, however, the spacious and often raucous, dining area and the half-moon bar reveal it for what it is, an old-school restaurant where very good food is served at very reasonable prices. As one might expect, the seafood specialties, such as a marvelous Flounder Fillet stuffed with crabmeat are what stand out here. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Named after the chef's grandmother, this friendly restaurant is located in the Baltimore Museum of Art. The kitchen lavishes attention on the details of each of its Maryland-style seafood dishes, making sure that each is a unique creation. The two types of crab cakes for instance are distinctly different: the Eastern Shore is traditional, made of crabmeat and little else, while the Gertie is a more modern, spicy affair. Enjoy your meal in the chic and homey pastel dining room or on the outdoor patio. Review © 2007, Wcities |

For your comfort |

Comfort dining is the catch phrase of this food joint. All kinds of crowds stream in—it was also awarded the Best Lesbian Bar of Baltimore in 2003. You'll find all American, contemporary and innovative cuisine at this eatery. Chill out with friends over pints of beer with the comforting jukebox continuously playing favorite numbers. Else make your way upstairs, for a quiet time with your date. Start with appetizers like Gorgeously Garlic Shrimp and graduate to something like Mix 'n Match, where you get to choose what goes into your pasta. A favorite among patrons, though, is the Baby Back Ribs. Drop by on a Sunday and avail of the likes of carafes of Bloody Mary or mimosa for brunch. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Choose to seat your in the spacey interiors or out on the patio in natural surroundings. Due to its location near the Chesapeake Bay, fresh seafood is a specialty here - Fried Oyster Two-Handers, Peppercorn-Crusted Tuna are Shrimp Salad are all-time favorites. For all those who prefer land food to seafood, Skewered Beef Tenderloin Fingers and the like are also available. For those on the move, feast on the eclectic range of soups and salads on offer. Very creative seafood dishes |
1822 Aliceanna Street Baltimore, MD 21231 United States +1 410 675 2080 http://www.pierpointrestaurant... |
This little bistro doesn't have a great deal in common with most of its rowdier Fells Point neighbors. Rather than cater to the hard-partying college crowd or the boho revelers, owner Nancy Longo caters to the food lovers who flock to her cheerful yellow dining room to sample creative versions of traditional Maryland dishes. Her work with seafood (oysters, rockfish, crabmeat) is sublime, and it is epitomized by her smoked crab cakes. She also makes a mean Smoked Duck Quesadilla, and a terrific Eastern Shore Rabbit Sausage. Review © 2007, Wcities |

1002 Light Street Baltimore, MD 21230 United States +1 410 539 7344 |
Set in a lovely redbrick rowhouse, this south Baltimore favorite is a great place to grab a beer and a bite. The dark wood interior is comfortable and inviting, whether you choose to sit at the long bar or in the dining room. (There're also café tables outside.) The restaurant offers a full, and very eclectic, menu, but appetizers and bar fare are what the kitchen does best. The satay is delicious, the crab cakes are first rate, and the Jambalaya is chock-full of shrimp, fish and other delights. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Dining here is a pleasure, for the ambience and service complement the top notch flavors well. Ruth's Chris has tried to venture away from its usual steak menu, to be rewarded with satisfied, returning patrons. Step in and treat your taste buds to the eclectic creations on the menu: the Barbecued Shrimp is a good way to start, followed by a Steak House Salad. You can hop directly to the entrée section, where filets, T-bones, tuna, lobster and salmon dishes vie with each other, both in terms of taste and popularity. Each menu listing is accompanied by a brief, yet tantalizing description of its contents, which adds to the anticipation. Polish off your meal with a slice of Bread Pudding, Cheesecake or Crème Brulee. Review © 2007, Wcities |
