Barcelona's centre is its Old Town (Ciutat Vella). A jumble of smaller neighborhoods linked by twisting alleyways, the place breathes Old World charm. Once falling prey to urban blight, the area has seen a revival of late with scores of artists, foreigners and students now calling the area home. Spend your day wandering the impressive Museu Picasso in the trendy La Ribera district or exploring Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter) before settling down to a savory hot chocolate at Plaça del Pi.
