Stalls are set up in the middle of the Rambla de Catalunya and in the Plaça de la Sagrada Familia on the three days before Palm Sunday to sell palm fronds and other greenery. It is traditional for godparents to offer the palm fronds to their godchildren, who then take them to mass on Palm Sunday to have them blessed. The stalls also sell candy and household decorations and this whole area becomes a pleasant place to come and stroll around to enjoy the last few days before Easter. Free event.
