These galleries (shopping, not art) are pioneers in Barcelona, as they were the first ones of this kind to open, in 1942. They are located in the middle of the old part of the city and you get there from Plaça del Pi and Carrer Portaferrissa. You can find a little bit of everything, but mainly household goods. Muebles Maldà is the biggest shop in the gallery. Apart from furniture, it sells all kinds of household goods. There is also a cinema and one of the most popular guest houses in Barcelona, but they are not part of the gallery itself. Review © 2009, Wcities |
