Winner of the Fad prize in 1987, this restaurant is one of the few Chinese joints in the city that serve true Cantonese cuisine. Minimalist décor with wood, glass and lots of light allows patrons to focus on the food instead of the surroundings. The dishes have strong Pekinese hints to them and are prepared with dedication that is evident in the taste and presentation. A slurp from the wine list will start things off well; those with more adventurous palates could try the Chinese beer. A savory meal would comprise a seaweed soup, Peking salad, noodles, tofu and grilled Kao Lian squid with spices.
