This pharmacy will remind you of a time long ago. Built in the 1920s, it retains many of its old-fashioned trappings, like displayed apothecarial gear, old signs and most importantly, its bar-stooled soda counter, where you can saddle up for a hot fudge sundae, egg cream or quick griddle meal while the pharmacist fills your prescription. It offers an assortment of toiletries, notions, magazines and books, minor household items and gifts and has a growing aromatherapy and holistic remedy section.

After-eight, Grapefruit Sorbetto, or Lemon Sorbetto - take your pick and it's easy to lose track of time while savoring on the rich, natural flavors. The owner's care and efforts are apparent in the delicacies, as suggestions and other feedback are welcome. Shattuck Avenue can surely boast about this ice-cream parlor.

They also offer petite bites like bon-bon and sandwiches with espresso, latte, cappuccino and various other refreshing drinks. If you are not too sure about what to order, sample a few flavors or opt for the daily special. There is no seating available and the portions are not huge.

No one is really quite sure when, why or how the tapioca drink craze hit Berkeley back in the 90s. This is one of the few places that only sells these Taiwanese drinkable delicacies. This is a small, ice cream bar-like atmosphere covered in pop Asian kitsch from Hello Kitty to Pokemon. The drink menu is so large and extensive, it rivals any store of its kind in the area. Flavors include flavors coconut, red bean, mango, red plum and it also serves Double Rainbow ice cream, sushi box lunches and fish paste snacks.
