Adagia

Californication
2700, Bancroft Way
Westminster House
Berkeley, CA 94704
United States
+1 510 647 2300
http://www.adagiarestaurant.com/
Originally the great dining room of the Westminster House, Adagia keeps its tradition of "community" alive. Sprinkled with loads of sunlight and light wooden interiors, this banquet style restaurant is a relaxed place to sample Californian cuisine made with fresh local produce...and check out the local crowd too! Outdoor dining allows you to enjoy the famous Californian sunshine. While the food is more wholesome than exciting and the service can be a bit slow, the ambiance is the main draw.

The restaurant has an open kitchen and you can watch the chief make your meal while you wait. There are also tables outside, so bring your furry friend along. Just remember to order before you sit down at a table.

Rustica

Gourmet pizza at its best
5422 College Avenue
Berkeley, CA 94618
United States

Few if any places create such a vast menu of traditional, gourmet and specialty pizzas like this eatery. From the classic Four Cheese and Margherita, to its own creations like the Ambrosia, Cajun and Provencal, as well as succulent rotisserie chicken and panini. You will know this place by the classic Doric column out front. Inside you will find casual and comfortable seating, pictures of the Italian countryside hanging on the walls and a dessert case that tempts you from the get-go. Weather permitting, there is limited seating on the sidewalk.
