This place is no temple of gourmet cuisine, but a merry, unpretentious little bistro-cum-bar with the flair of Paris in the eighties. Owner Patrick Willems is a jazz lover, and Astir has become a meeting place for musicians and jazz fanatics as well as for the crowds who flock out of the theatre later in the evening. The background music isn't Edith Piaf either, but jazz, jazz and jazz. If you're not squeamish, try the escargots for starters, and the Entrecôte Pinot Noir with potato gratin is a delicious choice for a main entree—all accompanied by a bottle of French wine, of course!
