While vain Berliners hide their short-sightedness behind contact lenses, more courageous types head to Brillenwerkstatt in Kreuzberg. The friendly opticians have a large selection of spectacles ranging from huge, colourful creations to understated mini-specs. The shop specialises in smaller names such as Anne et Valentin, Freudenhaus or Zip&Homme, which are generally better quality than mass-produced frames.
