The lost city of Atlantis can now be found on the banks of Berlin's Landwehrkanal in a peaceful little café with multicoloured tables and benches in the front yard. The garden is partly covered by a roof; the rest is cut off from the outside world by the branches of a small tree. A red brick bar and Ikea shelving complete the scene, giving the interior a somewhat makeshift appearance. This is, however, still a wonderful place to sit down with a newspaper and a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Review © 2009, Wcities |
