Except for the strange plastic palm trees at the entrance, the atmosphere is typically Russian. The ceiling contains a collage of pictures by the artist who lent his name to the restaurant. As typical as the interior decor is the menu which includes popular favourites such as stroganoff, borschtsch, blinis and caviar. Try the Russkaja Sakusska (mixed pickles) or Warenniki (pastry dumplings stuffed with potatoes and smothered in garlic sauce). A bottle of French white wine costs around EUR10.
