If you feel the urgent need of a nice cup of espresso, try Hackescher Markt. It's where all the espresso bars are. Besides the large scale coffee-houses Dante and Zucca which attract mostly tourists there also is a branch of Café Einstein. The most intriguing place, however, is Coffeemamas situated right under the picturesque urban railroad station. Leisurely sip your coffee, while reading the newspaper or while standing by the window and watching the people in the park. The shelves behind the counter are lined with bottles of delicious syrups from across the Alps, exquisite teas, and American Spirit cigarettes, which are arranged just beside the copper colored containers containing the coffee beans.
