The range of fruits and vegetables as well as Turkish foodstuffs, offered at this weekly market, is not really exquisite, yet quite extensive in range. All goods are very cheap, and if you do bulk purchases, you can get some real bargains. And so bags full of fresh fruits, kilos of tea and rice in the 5kilogram-packs vanish into the huge shopping carts of Turkish mummies. Moreover, on Saturdays the Protestant parish of the neighbouring Silas-Church offers with its One-World-stall a politically correct and healthy alternative to the rather heavy Turkish food.
