Huth House is the only historic building left on Potsdamer Platz, which was destroyed during the war and completely rebuilt in the 1990's. For years, the house stood alone on the deserted wasteland close to the Wall. Nowadays it is surrounded by modern glass towers and is a solitary reminder of 19th century glamour in the new high-rise, high-tech world. The fourth floor of Huth House contains the private collection of the US-German motor giant Daimler-Chrysler, including modern art works by the likes of Warhol, Kippenberger and Wesely.
