Well-to-do Schlüterstraße is lined with atmospheric nineteenth century buildings which house antique shops, specialist book stores, gourmet restaurants and exotic bars and cafés. An Italian flag hangs outside one of the street's more modern buildings, inviting you to take a trip south of the Alps, where you will be greeted with traditional Italian enthusiasm. Enoteca Toscana offers a host of Mediterranean treats including cheese, ham, olives and pickled vegetables as well as bread, cakes and dozens of pastas in all the colours of the rainbow. Locals like to stop by for a glass of prosecco or a quick espresso. The prices are slightly steep, but hey, you're in Charlottenburg! Review © 2009, Wcities |
