Erdbeer(meaning "strawberry") is located in Max-Beer-Strasse near the Volksbühne theatre. Furnished with sixties furniture, this is one of the original insider bars which were established at beginning of the nineties and which are now making way for the new oh-so-trendy designer cocktail lounges. The public is mixed, DJs play jazz music every evening (except Mondays) with live bands performing every Wednesday. The cocktail lounge is decorated in red and the bar area in pink, which is OK as long as the barman isn't wearing his matching pink shirt. Review © 2009, Wcities |
