As a well-known American film-maker prefers not to do business with small start-up companies, Fotoimpex turned east in the search for quality film and photographic accessories. And it came up with a couple of gems, such as Czech-made Foma film and East German black and white film sold under the name of efke. The classic photo paper sold here doesn't even pretend to be a brand, but hey—this is first class stuff sold at a fraction of the price asked by better-known manufacturers. The proof of the pudding is the fact that local artists and keen photographers flock here to stock up on film and developing equipment.
