Located in the center of Berlin, the Friedrichswerder Church was built by architect Karl Freidrich Shinkel in the 1820s. The church was originally a place of worship for German and French congregations, but was badly damaged during the Second World War. Now part of the National Gallery, this neo-Gothic masterpiece has been recently restored. On display at the museum are a series of sculptures of famous Germans from the early 19th century and an exhibition of the life and work of Schinkel.
