Located for many years in Schloß Charlottenburg, the Gallery of the Romantics recently moved to the Old National Gallery on Museum Island. This wonderful collection of paintings by the leading German artists of the Romantic era includes works by Casper David Friedrich, Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Carl Blechen and Philipp Otto Runge. If you're into melancholy landscapes, this is the place for you.
