The run-down factory buildings next to the shiny new Treptowers at Osthafen are all slowly being restored. Two of the huge warehouses awaiting restoration have now been turned into a provisional flea market. Bargain-hunters flock here every weekend to scavenge through piles of old clothes, books, electrical devices and furniture. Who knows, maybe the Turkish or Eastern European tradesman won't know that it's a real Chippendale table or an original Ming vase. But you probably won't know either! Review © 2009, Wcities |
