Housing the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philharmonie concert hall was built between 1960 and 1963, followed in 1984 by the Kammermusikall. Music truly takes center stage here as the 2,200 seats are arranged in terraces around the orchestra pit. Guided tours are offered daily at 1p free of charge.
