Tangy marzipan |
Pestalozzistraße 54 Berlin, Berlin 10627 +49 (0)30 323 8254 |
Marzipan was originally a Middle Eastern speciality which gradually made its way into chocolate boxes all over Europe. The town of Lübeck in northern Germany was famous for producing sweet marzipan, while the city of Königsberg (once part of Prussia but now Kaliningrad in Russia) produced a more tangy version. A Mecca for marzipan lovers, this store has a fine selection and is the perfect place for a bit of early Christmas shopping. Review © 2009, Wcities |
