Despite its name, Künstlerbedarf am Alex isn't actually located on Alexanderplatz, but rather in the Scheunenviertel, the old Jewish quarter, which is about 10 minutes walk away. Fairly inconspicuous from the outside, the atmosphere is friendly and the selection of artists materials good - with brushes and pigments, paints and pens, sketchbooks and paper, canvas and canvas stretchers.
