This historic building in the heart of Kreuzberg was built by Conrad Kaiser in 1865. Until it finally went bankrupt in 1957, it was a popular coffee house famous for its delicious cakes. After reopening as a typical Kreuzberg pub several years later, the choice of cakes is nowadays rather small, but the range of Asian and American dishes are all the more delicious. Starters include Shao Mai Shrimps (home-made dumplings stuffed with shrimps and vegetables); for the main course, try the broccoli and nut pie with parmesan sauce. Review © 2009, Wcities |
