Marga Schoeller herself died back in 1978, but the staff have kept up her good work and still stock a wide assortment of English and American literature and specialist film books. There is, however, serious competition in both these fields: the British Bookshop and Bücherbogen, the latter of which is just around the corner. Nevertheless, Bücherstube has managed to consolidate its position because of its professional and friendly service. It also organises occasional readings by well-known authors.
