Raumerstraße 29 Berlin, Berlin 10437 +49 (0)30 4473 3013 |
The part of Prenzlauer Berg north of Danziger Straße is still considered by many to be grey and uninspiring - even though the area around Helmholtzplatz is one of Berlin's liveliest and hippest spots. This area has recently been enriched by a Kurdish restaurant called Miro - meaning "hero" in Kurdish. Dimly lit, with bare brick walls and wooden floorboards, the backroom is furnished with tradtional Arabic cushions and waterpipes. The service is friendly and the prices reasonable. It's no wonder that Miro attracts its clientele from much further afield than the streets of Prenzlauer Berg. Review © 2009, Wcities |
