Okay, Berlin is over a hundred miles away from the sea, but there are plenty of lakes in the outskirts and surrounding countryside, and the Mecklenburg lake district is just a couple of hours away. That's apparently reason enough for this bookshop to exist. Specialising in sea charts, nautical and maritime books, videos and software, Nautische Buchhandlung is a paradise for everybody who wants to be captain of their own boat, and not just in the bath tub!
